Bridge falsework systems are one of the most common temporary structures used during the construction of concrete bridges. In this paper the results obtained from numerical studies of a selected structural system made of steel are presented. In particular, risks associated with bridge falsework systems will be analysed for the most relevant external hazards: (i) concrete casting loads; (ii) wind loads; (iii) ground settlements. For each considered hazard scenario, the resistance of the system is calculated and analysed based on deterministic analyses. From the results, relevant practical information is obtained which can reduce the risk associated with the design and operation of bridge falsework systems.pt_BR
