Abstract: Collaborative work requires mutual understanding and trust and a deeper level of standardized processes than what has become current practice in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO) sector, so that information is useful and made available in timely and consistent. The information requirements are a guarantee that the information passed between the different actors throughout the life cycle is coherent, representing the intended efficient way. This paper intends to be a step to overcome challenges, identified in AECO sector, related to the future maintenance management including the concepts of information transmission and digital transformation. A link between information management systems, such as BIM (considering the requirements of ISO 19650), and Construction information systems, such as ProNIC, is explored.
