dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an analytical model for the non-linear study of steel cross sections. It is based on the analysis of the cross section global deformations (axial deformation and bending curvature). It gives a better approach of the cross section real behaviour than the classical analytical models based on the analysis of the cross section internal forces, and an equivalent approach to the one obtained by numerical methods, without needing to perform very heavy numerical integration.pt_BR
