dc.description.abstractWith geometrical and mechanical characteristics close to those for high-strength bolts, swaged bolts are an efficient alternative to classical prestressed fasteners in connections for steel design. This paper reports results of static tests carried out in connections of plates with out-of-flatness defect. It also presents fatigue tests in tension. The results confirm that swaged fasteners can be used as prestressed bolts grade 10.9.pt_BR
